TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Representative Gwen Graham continues to shatter Second Congressional District fundraising records with another quarterly haul of more than $530,000 — bringing the campaign total for 2016 to more than $1 million raised in just six months. Graham finished the quarter with more than $930,000 cash on hand, an impressive war chest for a race without a declared opponent.
“I’m following through on my promise to bring the North Florida Way to Washington, and that’s exciting people across the district,” Rep. Graham said. “I’m proud to have the support of Republicans and Democrats who are yearning for leaders in Congress to cross the aisle and get things done.”
Since January, the campaign collected more than 7,800 online contributions with an average donation of $12.60 — showing an active and expanding grassroots base. Graham’s strong numbers are expected to place her amongst the top candidates for fundraising, nationally.
“The North Florida Way is working. Our bill to save the Apalachicola Bay has 22 Florida co-sponsors, almost the entire delegation. We worked with both sides to pass legislation defending Israel from terrorist tunnels. And I’m following through on my pledge to fix Obamacare,” Rep. Graham said. “We’ve had great successes in the first six months — and we’re just getting started.”
