Recently, I was invited to volunteer a day of  work at Camp Amigo, a North Florida summer camp for child burn survivors, at Billy Joe Rish State Park on Cape San Blas. I did some research on the camp and discovered it was started by Tallahassee firefighter Rusty Roberts and several of his colleagues in 2001 to provide kids who have physical and emotional scars a place to be themselves and build a network of support.
