Gwen Graham’s Year in Review

unnamed As 2016 draws to a close, so does Gwen’s time in Congress. The past two years have been an incredible experience for everyone on Team Graham, and we couldn’t be more proud of how hard Gwen fights for Florida’s families each and every day. This year brought environmental crises, critical moments for our military families, and more. But through it all, Gwen never lost sight of what matters most — standing up for Florida’s families, putting your needs first, and making sure your voice is always heard. We hope you’ll take a moment to look back on Gwen’s time in Congress. And we hope you’ll continue to be a part of this team as we look to the future. Thank you for your support!

unnamed-1 Our veterans put their lives on the line to protect our country. And Gwen cares deeply about giving back to them and making sure their transition into civilian life is as smooth as possible. That’s why the very first bill Gwen introduced in Congress was the VETS Act. Our veterans deserve the best care we can provide. And it’s critical we have the resources to provide our veterans with education and training programs when they come home. unnamed-3 Over the summer, a TOXIC sinkhole appeared in Polk County. Despite the extreme risk this posed to Florida’s families, Governor Rick Scott’s administration remained silent for weeks! Floridians have a right to know when their health and wellbeing is at risk. That’s why Gwen will always fight to increase transparency in our government and prevent disasters like this from ever happening again. unnamed-1 Gwen knows our pristine waterways are vital to Floridians. They are the lifeblood of our economy and the heart of our way of life. So when our waters became infested with toxic algae, Gwen knew our response needed to be immediate and thorough. Gwen put forth common sense solutions to address this crisis and urged Governor Scott to call an emergency special session to solve the problem. unnamed-5 When Gwen’s father Bob Graham served as Florida’s Governor and US Senator, he performed hundreds of Workdays across the state. That’s a tradition Gwen proudly carried on during her time in Congress. From flying a T-38 jet at Tyndall Air Force Base to beekeeping in Wewahitchka, Workdays are always a great way to meet folks from across the state, build lifelong friendships and learn from each other. unnamed-7 Now more than ever, we need new leaders who will bring our communities together, build a government that’s transparent and accountable, and ensure every family and every child has the chance to succeed. Even though Gwen’s time in Congress has come to a close, her commitment to Florida has never been stronger. She’ll continue fighting for each and every Floridian for years to come. And we want you with us every step of the way. Follow Gwen on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date!

Thank you for always standing with us. Happy New Year!
